Secondary education for students with mental disabilities and their employment possibilities on the labour market in the Zlín region

Thesis is focused on possibilities of secondary education of students with mental disabilities and their subsequent employment possibilities in the labor market. The theoretical part of the thesis is discussing basic concepts related to the issue of mental retardation and aspects of education and employment of persons with mental disabilities. The last chapter of the thesis provides an analysis of the current possibilities of secondary education of students with mental disabilities and possibilities of work placement in the Zlín region.
Case study of small-class primary school

This diploma thesis deals with education at composite school and its problems. It is a case study at a particular primary school, which is not fully organized. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains three chapters. In the introductory chapter there is described the current conception of Czech education system. This system is related closely to curricular system of education in the Czech Republic. The first chapter is also focused on curricular documents - The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and National Programme for the Development of Education in the Czech Republic (White Paper). The second chapter deals with a teacher's personality. The aim is to describe the teacher's role in educational process at primary schools. Concerning teachers, there is also described their profession, characterization of their personality and definition of the teachers' role. The last chapter is concerned with education at composite primary schools and it is aimed especially at the characterization of specific attributes of composite schools education. The second part of the thesis is a practical part and it has qualitative character. The practical part is a detailed prezentation of the case study of a concrete composite school. This part describes pedagogical-educational influence of the school on its pupils. There are also described local teachers, pupils and their parents. There were used different methods for this research - observation, in-depth dialogue and qestionnaire.
Comparative Analysis of Czech and Norwegian Educational System: Analysis of chosen actual problems

Comparative analysis of Czech and Norwegian educational system is focused on comparing topics of inclusive education and teacher training between both countries. The aim of thesis is comparation of chosen educational topics, which is based on study and analysis of curricular and legislative documents, white papers etc. of the Czech Republic and Norway with reference to their links and differences. The main focus of thesis is synchronous data comparison and suggestion of solutions for pedagogical reality. Comparison of selected pedagogical problems is supplemented by chapters that briefly present demographic, historical, economic, etc. data on the countries concerned, including a brief overview of education systems. The results of the thesis can serve as a basis for further research of selected topics or may be an inspiration for practice. Parental Choice of Elementary School in the City of Vrchlabí

The aim of this bachelor's thesis called "Parental Choice of Elementary School in the City of Vrchlabí" is to find and describe strategies used by parents when choosing elementary school in a small town, in this case Vrchlabí. The text engages with the way parents influence educational trajectory of their children, and which factors play a role in deciding about the elementary school selection. In this respect it aims to discover and disclose the different strategies of parents from a small town opposite to those of parents from Prague a few years ago. The thesis presents parents as players of educational policy; it attempts to find opportunities for parents to join in on its creation and later to discover up to which level parents take advantage of these opportunities. The thesis describes possible educational inequalities and their impact on child's educational trajectory. It displays differences between elementary schools, which are enabled by current educational system of the Czech Republic, and differences which exist between individual elementary schools in Vrchlabí. Title of the thesis: Problems of the teaching profession: teacher in France and in the Czech Republic Keywords: Teacher, teaching profession, status of the teacher, education system of the Czech Republic, education system of France Abstract: The dissertation occupies by the problems of the teaching profession. Despite big psychological and physical difficulty the profession is underestimated, prestige and salaries of teachers are low. One of the goals of the thesis is to show that the teaching profession isn't that easy as the public believes and to present its principal problems. The dissertation touches themes like prestige and authority of the teacher, teachers' health and stress at school or trainee teachers' problems. Theme of the teaching profession generally is completed by actual numbers and data reflecting status of the teacher and education system in the Czech Republic, in France and in other European countries. So another goal of the thesis is to compare these numbers and to find advantages and disadvantages of systems which influence status of the teacher and to outline possible ways to their improvement.
